Стивен Джон Хант ( англ. Stephen John Hunt ; род. 1954 ) — британский социолог и религиовед , профессор социологии Университета Западной Англии . Основной сферой научных интересов Ханта является социологическое изучение новых религиозных движений , в частности харизматического движения и неопятидесятнических церквей.

В 1995 году защитил докторскую диссертацию в Редингском университете на тему пятидесятнического движения в США . В период с 1988 по 2001 год преподавал на кафедре социологии Редингского университета и параллельно — на кафедре религиоведения Суррейского университета .

Стивен Хант является автором ряда монографий : «Альтернативные вероисповедания: социологическое введение» («Alternative Religions: A Sociological Introduction»), «The Life Course: A Sociological Introduction» ( 2005 ), «Religion in Western Society» ( 2002 ) и «The Alpha Enterprise» ( 2004 ). Под его научной редакцией также была издана книга «Christian Millenarianism: From the Early Church to Waco».

С 2006 года Стивен Хант является редактором научного журнала по изучению пятидесятничества «Pentecostudies».
