Роберт Такер Аббот ( Robert Tucker Abbott ; 28 сентября 1919 года — 3 ноября 1995 года ) — крупнейший американский малаколог и конхиолог , автор более 30 книг о моллюсках (например, American Seashells (1954), Seashells of the World (1962), The Shell (1972) и The Kingdom of the Seashell (1972)), редактор (с 1971 года).

Биография

Собирал ракушки с детства. Поступил в Гарвард. Во время Второй Мировой войны сначала был пилотом бомбардировщика, а затем исследовал шистосомоз . В 1946 году женился на малакологе Мэри М. Сислер.
