описаны два полевых эксперимента, в которых контрольным группам после заключения договора выплачивалась обещанная сумма, а экспериментальные получали неожиданную доплату в дополнение к обещанной. Экспериментальные группы поначалу прилагали больше усилий, однако со временем этот эффект исчезал.
