Pages of Oleg Haslavsky
I have no idea how you make changes to Russian pages without knowing Russian (doubtful it's the case, tovarish:-), but at any rate, my comments:
(1) Initially those pages were of very low quality because for whatever reason the dates, nationality, elementary facts - everything was wrong. They even managed to put in a wrong ISBN number! Any reasonable changes were not welcome, the guys who presumably were working on it from the very start, presumably they all know each other but have very little if at all knowledge of the author himself. So they put as much false information as possible, and their so-called checked versions were absolute rubbish.
(2) Whenever somebody tried to make a constructive change, this group of know-it-alls were just attacking the new lines, to revert to wrong dates and facts. They even had no clue about published books, but no worries, they also had no interest - because it is not the point. What is the point then, to create a page and instead of performing fact-checking do everything to mispresent the facts? How on earth one can attempt at rolling back nationality of the person whom they write about, so can it just be that they have no idea??? Or deleting the mere fact that this Haslavsky character was married to someone, why on earth that does not belong to a Wiki? If you look at the history of changes, this group of writers even insisted several times that there should be a reference if one wants to call the mentioned author married. Either they do not know that the person they dedicate an article to had a family, or they deliberately hide the fact, and I am not sure what is better!
(3) This group of geniuses who created this page are also not able to provide decent formatting, so the page was for years in a very pitiful state. When, however, it gets a bit better thanks to persons who actually know what they are writing about, now the English page is semi-locked and soon this Russian page will share its fate. So back to square one, the very same persons who are incapable of making this page a success will have access, whereas people who knew the author in person and may have information about some new projects, books or mentions of the author, they will be banned from the pages in order to 'stop vandalism'. Tell me please, what is then the point of keeping such pages alive if only desinformation is allowed? Should people who knew the author in person perhaps request deletion of the pages if they is not truly available for public corrections (the English one is now closed to any fact-checking, only those who have no clue are allowed to make any changes:-), and couple of incompetent persons are going to continue contributing to it?
(4) The list of libraries may not be needed, but in light of previous versions which were completely detached from reality at least such a list shows some validity of the author's work and actually reflects some factual information. Instead, the phrase about Haslavsky not seeking publications stays in the text, and the wording about his books being available at different libraries is considered to be either unnecessary or even a fact of 'vandalism'. Am I missing something or actual information is considered to be vandalism, whereas a clear misinformation at its best is considered to be raw model of factual representation?
Just saying that if facts don't matter, then what is the point of keeping this page alive? The guys who initially started this project do not seem to be competent, according to their corrections over the last year if you look at the history section. ( обс. ) 08:42, 11 декабря 2022 (UTC)

- @ : Please do not come here and tell me how to edit on these wikis. The means for disputing edits is to revert them, and to ask you to take them to the talk page for discussion and resolution. Not to go into revert wars. This will now be the fifth time that I have had to say that. You will find information about reliable sources at Википедия:Авторитетные источники for the basis of that discussion. Please also declare any conflict of interest that you have with the site per Википедия:Конфликт интересов . Thanks. Billinghurst ( ) 12:57, 20 июня 2023 (UTC)
