Биография

Родился в 1897 году. Обучался в Rice Institute в штате Техас ( США ), работал под руководством крупного американского биолога Джулиана Хаксли и будущего нобелевского лауреата профессора Германа Джозефа Мёллера . В 1918 году получил степень бакалавра, после чего был принят в при Harvard University ( Кэмбридж , штат Массачусетс ). Он изучал энтомологию и в 1920 году получил степень магистра наук, а в 1921 году — степень доктора наук (Ph.D) .
