Любомир Маснер ( англ. Lubomír Masner ; 18 апреля 1934 ) — канадский энтомолог , гименоптеролог , президент-основатель Международного общества исследователей перепончатокрылых насекомых ( International Society of Hymenopterists , 1982), крупный специалист по наездникам, открывший и описавший более 300 новых для науки видов и родов этих мелких паразитических насекомых .

Биография

Родился 18 апреля 1934 года . В 1952 и 1957 годах получил степени бакалавра и мастера наук в Пражском университете. В 1962 году получил докторскую степень по энтомологии в Чехословацкой Академии наук. .

Крупный специалист по паразитических перепончатокрылым насекомым, исследовал фауну и систематику надсемейств Proctotrupoidea , Platygastroidea и Ceraphronoidea . Маснер открыл и впервые для науки описал 367 новых видов и 85 новых родов, и даже 3 новых семейства , , и Maamingidae . Им проведена полная в объёме мировой фауны монографическая родовая ревизия таких семейств, как Scelionidae (Masner 1976), Platygastridae (Masner and Huggert 1989) и Diapriidae (Masner and García 2002); им проведена фундаментальная реклассификация надсемейства Ceraphronoidea (Masner and Dessart 1967). Автор более 100 научных публикаций .
